Oklahoma Women in Tech (OKWIT) is a 501(c)3 holding nonprofit organization of professionals in the technology industry with a determination to bridge the gap between genders in STEM fields.
We strive to better network and promote anyone who identifies as a woman within the tech industry across Oklahoma, while educating and encouraging young women to continue their interest and studies in STEM fields.

Programs & Events
Oklahoma Women in Technology hosts monthly and special events, including guest speakers, networking happy hours, mentor circles, panels, semi-annual STEM student retreats, and an annual fundraising Gala. We also are proud to award annual scholarships to Oklahoma women pursuing STEM degrees and careers.

OKWIT awards annual scholarships ranging from $500-2,500 to empower women to pursue and complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees in STEM fields (science, technology, education, and math), as well as to reduce the financial barrier that traditionally accompanies higher education.

Each year, we host two student retreats to educate high school women on the opportunities and careers available to them in STEM after graduation. Our agenda includes presentations, hands-on activities, data center tours, and more. Breakfast and lunch is provided for all attendees. Best of all, our retreats are completely free for students, educators and parents to attend.

OKWIT partners with InnoTech OK to host a Women in Tech Summit featuring two tracks of sessions with incredible local speakers.

This annual OKWIT award is given to a woman who is not only a member of OKWIT but has proven herself, by way of example, to be a trailblazer for women in STEM fields. This recognition is vital to encouraging women to select a career in STEM and stay the course and reach management levels in the professions.

Our annual Gala is our largest fundraiser of the year. The proceeds from our Gala allow us to grow our yearly programs such as our monthly events, scholarships, STEM retreats, and more.
